Competences to be developed:

1.     Creating Art and Culture. Ability to create visual products within a variety of materials, media, techniques and methods.

2.     Didactics. Set goals, plan, implement and assess art teaching in primary school according to the educational theory of the visual/creative subjects.

3.     Understanding Art and Culture. Understand and analyze various visual phenomena, historical and contemporary, in European and other cultures.

Module 1:

Understanding of the educational theory of the subject and it’s field. Ability to apply these theories when planning learning processes in Art and Culture.

 

All 4 modules will include both practical and theoretical studies. The lessons will include lectures, creative workshops, project work, group work, field trips and individual studies.

 

1) Portefolio to be presented orally by the student at the end of the module.

2) Exhibition of the works created during the module.

Module 2:

Understanding theories and methods of cultural and visualanalysis and the ability to apply these in the planning of thematic learning processes for primary school.

 

 

All 4 modules will include both practical and theoretical studies. The lessons will include lectures, creativel workshops, project work, group work, field trips and individual studies.

 

1) Portefolio to be presented orally by the student at the end of the module.

2) Exhibition of the works created during the module.

Module 3:

Working thematically with ‘The culture of children and youth’ the students learn how to work in projects and how the focus on suc-cultural phenomena can further understanding and knowledge.

All 4 modules will include both practical and theoretical studies. The lessons will include lectures, creative workshops, project work, group work, field trips and individual studies.

Understanding culture and art related to individual- social- and national identity. The ability to implement this knowledge when planning and implementing a creative learning process in primary school.
